We looked at the science and review what we know so far in our latest article. Check out the link in bio for the full break down on wifi, bluetooth, and microwaves + read about cell phones below 👇⁣ ⁣ Cell phones 📱 have the highest potential for adverse health effects. Although cellphones emit non-ionizing radiation, some studies have shown an increased risk of cancer in male rats. We recommend keeping your phone out of your pocket/bra for extended periods of time and putting them on the other side of the room while you sleep. ⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣⁣

But do we really know if that's a good thing? Well, we dug into the research to answer just that question. Bottom line, if you use them safely and as directed, they are better than traditional fragrance chemicals. That doesn't mean they can't have negative effects. Read our article for suggestions on how to use them thoughtfully.
As you all know, we here at Because Health love to make decisions backed by science, so we are excited that more people in Congress now do, too. Congrats to Chrissy Houlihan, Jeff van Drew, @laurenaunderwood, @teamcasten, Elaine Luria, @joecunninghamsc, and @rosenfornevada🎉
Researchers have found that different substances, that they like to call obesogens, can also play a role in your body's ability to maintain a healthy weight. These obesogens can affect things like if and when your body feels full or processes sugar. Some easy changes to help you limit your contact with obesogens are to: 1. Choose fish and meat that are low in fat 2. Switch to non plastic food storage containers when you can 3. Always wash your hands before you eat For more tips and a better explanation of obesogens, check out the link in our profile.
It's a big step. It means you recognize you actually have to clean your home better than just shuffling around in your fuzzy socks and wiping the mirror with your sleeve. We did a bunch of research and found 6 great, well-reviewed, vacuums that all have HEPA filters. The HEPA filter ensures that when you are cleaning the vacuum actually traps even the smallest pieces of dust. So, take this as just the push you need to order that nice new adult vacuum!
The chemicals can lead to things like obesity, cause vaccines to work less effectively, and increase rates of ADHD. A few simple changes you can make are using wax paper instead of plastic wrap, switching from plastic to glass food containers, and washing hands before eating. Check out our site for a bunch of other simple tips and product roundups like these that can also protect your kids (and yourself) from these chemicals. #becausehealth .
We know, hearing you should clean more often kind of sucks, but the benefits of fewer chemicals that cause problems like infertility and cancer in your body (and your kid's body) might be worth it. Try wiping down surfaces with a wet microfiber cloth, it's easier than actually dusting everything and makes a huge difference. Also, microfiber cloths are like magic dust magnets - gross but also cool. For more easy, #nontoxic cleaning tips, check out our site.
