Denise sees how climate is changing everything, especially our health. She knows it can be overwhelming to think about, but also that the solutions start at home and in your community. That's why she is excited about collaborating with Because/Health - to help people better understand climate change, provide simple, every day solutions to protect their health and the planet...using memes and GIFs for comic relief.
As a relentless environmentalist and agent for change, Denise has spent her career working on issues to reduce toxic chemicals and fight climate change. She gained expertise in environmental and occupation health by working with environmental justice communities and industrial workers in New Jersey, and has most recently been at the forefront of the global fossil free movement through her work with 350.org and the Divest/Invest Network. She has Bachelor of Science from University of Miami and earned her Master of Public Health from Columbia University. In her spare time, Denise loves organic gardening, cooking, and entertaining her niece and nephew with facts about the ocean.
